In this month's letter, I want to talk about encouraging ourselves by meditating on God's faithfulness. I like to say it like this: "Never forget what God has done for you in the past." I also want to encourage you to write down your miracles, your breakthroughs and your blessings. That way, when you need God to move, you can look back on what He's already done for you and let those testimonies stir your faith! David called this encouraging himself in the Lord.
Let's take a look at what the Word says:
Psalm 105:1-2 KJV
"(1) O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. (2) Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works."
Verse 1 says, "Make known his deeds among the people."
Let me say it like this: "Talk the victory, not the problem." The world needs to hear the answer, not the problem!
Verse 2 says, "Talk ye of all his wondrous works...." When you're talking about His wonders and His miracles, you're using words that bring faith, not fear!
The world needs to hear us talk about how GREAT our God is. I encourage you to read all of Psalm 105. It will bless you!
